priorities
Ed’s priorities are grounded in everyday realities. They reflect a focus on people, community, and making decisions that support both today and the future.
-
A strong community depends on a healthy local economy. Ed supports small and medium-sized businesses, local industries, and the people who keep them running. He believes in encouraging thoughtful, sustainable growth that creates lasting opportunities, and sees tourism as part of that when it aligns with the community and adds real value.
-
Taking care of what we have is part of building a strong future. Ed believes in being responsible with local resources, making practical decisions, and finding the right balance between maintaining what works and allowing room for thoughtful growth.
-
A strong community looks after its people and takes care of one another. Ed believes in making sure no one is overlooked, and that people feel supported through every stage of life.
That includes making sure seniors are treated with respect and fairness, that individuals and families can access the care they need, and that young people are supported as they learn, grow, and find their place in the community.
-
A strong community is built over time, by people who care about where they live and who they are building it for. Ed believes in creating the conditions for that to continue so the community remains a place where people can put down roots.
That includes supporting young people through education and opportunity so they can build their lives locally, while also taking care of what matters to people today and maintaining the sense of community that brings neighbours together.
